WSC survey 2021

Euro 2020 was a tournament like no other – but how did you see it? The 2021 WSC survey lets you have your say. What were the outstanding moments? How did you watch it? Which pundits did you like and dislike? How do you feel about returning to stadiums? And what would you change about WSC?

Loyal readers may recognise some questions from past surveys – we ask them to see how things change. We’re grateful for your response – it should take about ten minutes and you have the chance to win a WSC T-shirt.

THE 2021 SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED

Episode 41: Matterface days, Atlético Douglas Haig & the Hemel Hempstead Azzurri

In this exclusive WSC Supporters’ Club edition of the podcast, magazine editor Andy Lyons, writer Harry Pearson and host Daniel Gray embrace the spinach and liquorice diet to bring you stories of “bomber di provincias” from Dixie McNeill to Ernie Moss, and teams named after people. There is a discussion of British managers in north and central America and the Caribbean, which includes a John “Canoe Man” Darwin football conspiracy. Record Breakers takes us to Belfast, Belgrade and Portsmouth.

The only way to hear this episode is to sign up for the WSC Supporters’ Club for as little as £2 per month. There are great rewards, including bonus episodes, extended editions, badges, T-shirts and photo prints.

Episode 40: Low blocks, Shrimps v Shrimpers & Bovril Popsicles

Celebrating their big 4-0 with a disgusting Coconut Kinder Bueno, magazine editor Andy Lyons, writer Harry Pearson and host Daniel Gray discuss the Euros so far, from Lukas Carnival to Bovril Popsicles via players who ‘know where the goal is’. There is an important update on the train station situation in Horden, parakeet news and talk of players who were good at other sports, including Lev Yashin and Reginald ‘Tip’ Foster. Record Breakers takes us to Amsterdam, Helsinki and Ischia, while Dan talks all things Newport County with Ed Bridges of the 1912 Exiles podcast.

If you enjoyed this and would like more, you can sign up to the WSC Supporters’ Club for as little as £2 per month. There are great rewards, including bonus episodes, extended editions, badges, T-shirts and photo prints.
