Episode 140: Northern League midfield marauders, Manchester Hunter & guest Dominic Shaw

Sitting down carefully due to their gummy clusters, magazine editor Andy Lyons, writer Harry Pearson and host Daniel Gray continue with Backward Glance, in which a Random Issue Generator picks out an old copy of WSC magazine from the archives for them to chat about. This time, Issue 343 from September 2015 prompts thoughts of England in ruin, Faroes football, Wally “Skip” Downes, an Airdrie badge threat and more. Meanwhile, magazine Deputy Editor Ffion Thomas takes us inside the pages of WSC issue 467 and Record Breakers brings Den Haag delight.

AND, after a six-month break, The Final Third is back. Joining Dan this time to contribute a match, player and object to the WSC Museum of Football is journalist Dominic Shaw. Dom is co-author with Northern Echo colleague Scott Wilson of Boro 150, a new book-azine.

If you enjoyed this and would like more, you can sign up to the WSC Supporters’ Club for as little as £2 per month. There are great rewards, including bonus episodes, extended editions, badges, T-shirts and photo prints.
