Episode 138: Gianni Infantino’s clones and the USA 94 stretcher cart

Sucking on dubious treats from Whitby’s oldest sweet vendor, magazine editor Andy Lyons, writer Harry Pearson and host Daniel Gray continue with Backward Glance, in which a Random Issue Generator picks out an old copy of WSC magazine from the archives for them to chat about. This time, Issue 90 from August 1994 throws up some things World Cup ’94, from Maradona’s lens bothering to Garth Crooks’ ropey links. There is chatter too about a Spurs points deduction, French fourth division shenanigans, Tranmere trauma, orchestrated swearing and more. Meanwhile, magazine Deputy Editor Ffion Thomas takes us inside the pages of WSC issue 466 and Record Breakers brings a Mexican marvel.

If you enjoyed this and would like more, you can sign up to the WSC Supporters’ Club for as little as £2 per month. There are great rewards, including bonus episodes, extended editions, badges, T-shirts and photo prints.
