Tottenham’s recent foray into the giddy heights of the table might have surprised their sup­porters but, when it comes to how they are treated by the club, it appears to be business as usual. Spurs fans are wearily used to shoddy treatment from a plc for whom customer ser­vice is an alien concept, but this season the club has surpassed itself with what has come to be known as the great season ticket fiasco.

Apparently buying a ticket is no longer enough in the Irish capital, as Davy Millar explains the problem of fakes being illegally sold

With Wimbledon’s proposed move back in the news, there is something that potential visitors to Dublin should know. That match ticket in your back pocket, the one you purchased at an official outlet and which has a seat number printed on it; don’t count on that being enough to get you into the ground. In the Irish capital, a ticket merely represents a desire to see a game, not a right to be there.

Scotland isn't the only place where football clubs have switched towns lately – it's happened at the top level in Poland this season, as Vaughan Elliot reports

Mid-May of last year was a bleak time for Lechia Gdansk: relegation to one of Poland’s eight regional third divisions had become inevitable and respectable mid-season crowds of 4,000 had dropped into three figures for the first time anyone could remember. Supporters left the stadium after the last game pondering next season and dreaming of miracles, or at least a couple of decent players to lift the gloom of impending local league football.
