Bishop Auckland played West Auckland Town in a Northern League Division One match at Heritage Park. Bishop Auckland were winners of the Amateur Cup ten times between 1895 and 1957, while their opponents won the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy, regarded as the first world club tournament, in 1909 and 1911. Bishop Auckland won this fixture 3-1, watched by a crowd of 422 at the ground they moved into in 2010.
