icon cups21 October ~ Following Howard Kendall’s death on Saturday, BBC Radio Merseyside have re-run their award-winning documentary If You Know Your History – Everton 85. The programme charts the story of a season in which a Kendall-led Everton won the League (by 13 points), the Cup-Winners Cup and the Charity Shield, while also reaching the final of the FA Cup. The people involved in the season recall how they made it happen, with players such as Kevin Ratcliffe, Graeme Sharp and Adrian Heath offering an insight into what happened behind the scenes. Kendall himself also talks about what it was like to work with that group of players. You can listen to the documentary here – it starts at around 4.50.
