Bolton, QPR, Cardiff and Ipswich owe the most

icon brokenball29 August ~ Championship clubs now have a collective debt of £1.1 billion, according to research by Insider. Analysis of the most recent accounts of all 24 clubs has revealed that that the total debt is nearly double the clubs’ collective turnover. Meanwhile, the clubs lost more than £200 million over the same period, with just four managing to make a profit. Bolton have the largest debt at £182.1m, the majority of which is owed to owner Eddie Davies. QPR are not far behind at £179.8m, while both Ipswich and Cardiff owe over £80m.
