DFL are considering adding more games on Monday and Sunday

icon sunday17 July ~ For many years the Bundesliga has been held up as a good example of a strong league which manages to be both successful and fan-friendly. Part of that is now under threat after the German Football League announced that they were considering introducing Monday evening fixtures as well as an additional Sunday game. This would bring the league more in line with La Liga and make it more difficult for fans to watch their team away from home. Uli Hesse, the author of Tor! The story of German football, has written a piece of ESPN weighing up the arguments in Germany both for and against the move.
