9 May ~ Norwich City and Ipswich Town go into the first leg of the Championship play-off semi-final today knowing the stakes are high. It’s not the first time the two teams have met with Wembley on offer for the winner; in 1985 they competed in the League Cup semi-final. With both teams struggling in Division One that season – Norwich were eventually relegated – the derby provided them with a chance to win local pride and meet Sunderland at Wembley. Ipswich were 1-0 up from the first leg, and highlights of the second leg can be seen below.
