New power for supporters

14 April ~ Labour’s election manifesto, announced yesterday, includes plans for new laws allowing football supporters to appoint or remove two club directors and buy shares when their club changes hands. Clubs with overseas owners are expected to resist any such legislation but it been welcomed by fan groups including the Football Supporters Federation.
