THE HALF DECENT FOOTBALL MAGAZINE

18 June ~ Cameroon have only got beyond the group stage of a World Cup once and their opening defeat to Mexico has left them with a tough task this time around too. They go into tonight's match with Croatia knowing that only a win will give them a realistic chance of emulating their 1990 counterparts. At Italia 90 the African team reached the quarter-finals, having made it out of a group in which they humbled world champions Argentina 1-0 despite being reduced to nine men by the end.
