Focus so far only been on Qatar 2022

icon moneyman5 June ~ Since the Sunday Times revealed the latest FIFA corruption allegations much of the focus has been on the decision to award Qatar the 2022 World Cup. The majority of the documents reportedly relate to Mohamed bin Hammam, president of the Qatar FA and Asian confederation at the time, using secret accounts to buy votes from senior officials for the Qatari bid. However, Bin Hammam was also preparing to stand for election against FIFA president Sepp Blatter at the time. This has led Keir Radnedge to link the payments to Bin Hammam's own need for votes rather than those of Qatar.
