THE HALF DECENT FOOTBALL MAGAZINE

4 May ~ Internazionale captain Javier Zanetti has announced that this season will be his last playing for the club, after nearly two decades of service. With appearances in the first team this season limited, he is likely to become a director after retirement. This evening the Milan derby will take place at the San Siro and, with both teams having disappointing seasons, it could be the last in which Zanetti plays. His first was in October 1995, a 1-1 draw as Inter struggled to seventh while AC Milan won their 15th Scudetto. In his Inter career Zanetti has won five Serie A titles, four Coppa Italias, four Supercoppa Italianas, one Club World Cup, one UEFA Cup and one Champions League.
