Forcing the government to take action

icon appeal123 March ~ A petition titled "Without fans there is no football" has reached nearly 18,000 signatures. Aimed at the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, it is attempting to force the government to debate the issue of club ownership. It will do this by using a short inquiry into Coventry City as a specific example of where football's governing bodies are failing to address important issues such as new owners disregarding traditional grounds, colours and names as well as rising ticket prices. Having reached 10,000 signatures the government responded but it must reach 100,000 to be considered for debate by the start of 2015. You can sign the petition here.
