icon striker29 January ~ The record of being the last player to score at an old ground, or the first at a new stadium, is one of the few in football that cannot be surpassed by someone else. There can be only one of each and the name that gets written into history isn't always a great player. With so many clubs moving stadiums in the past few 25 years, WSC contributor Glen Wilson, of the Popular Stand fanzine, has compiled a list of first and last scorers at grounds. While Thierry Henry may be remembered for more than scoring the final goal at Highbury, the same may not be said for the likes of Theo Streete, who scored the last goal at Doncaster's Belle Vue.
