17 January ~ Newcastle visit West Ham this weekend nearly 28 years after one of the biggest defeats in the club's history. In 1986, the Hammers scored an impressive eight goals at Upton Park to reach third place in the table. Defender Alvin Martin achieved a rare feat: he scored a hat-trick against three different goalkeepers – Martin Thomas and then outfield players Chris Headworth and Peter Beardsley.
