10 January ~ Atlético Madrid host Barcelona this weekend with both teams tied on top of La Liga. In 1997, a clash between them became one of the greatest games in the recent history of Spanish football. Atlético visited the Nou Camp in the second leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals needing a win or draw by scoring three goals or more after a 2-2 draw in the first leg. They were 3-0 and then 4-2 up, but a comeback by Barcelona, managed at the time by Bobby Robson, resulted in the Catalans getting through and eventually winning the trophy.
