THE HALF DECENT FOOTBALL MAGAZINE

29 November ~ Fulham visit West Ham United at Upton Park this weekend with both teams trying to avoid the relegation zone. In 1975, they both starred in the FA Cup final at Wembley. The Hammers won 2-0 to clinch their second Cup – they eventually won a third in 1980 – while for a Second Division Fulham it was their only FA Cup final to date. Alan Taylor was not only the star of the final because of his two goals, but he also scored doubles in the sixth round against Arsenal at Highbury (2-0) and in the semi-final replay against Ipswich Town (2-1). This was also Bobby Moore's final appearance at Wembley (though he was playing for Fulham) and the West Ham side were the last all-English team to win the FA Cup.
