System pioneered by New York Red Bulls

icon ticketprices20 November ~ Portsmouth have become the first British club to start selling match tickets directly through Facebook. The biggest fan-owned club in the country are using a system pioneered by New York Red Bulls in MLS, whereby a fan who has "Liked" their page can then buy tickets and reserve seats for friends in a single transaction, making it easier for larger groups to join together at matches. Portsmouth engagement manager Micah Hall said: "Pompey is a cutting-edge club in terms of using digital technology, not only to drive up revenues, but also to give our fans the best possible experience when they interact with their club."
