icon nofans4 October ~ Having boycotted Cardiff City since new owner Vincent Tan rebranded the club, Phil Stead, of the Ffwtbol blog, recently had his first real experience of a big professional game in the modern era. While impressed by the quality of football on display as Bayern Munich ripped Manchester City apart, and the look of the stadium in which the game was played, Stead found the contrast between his immediate surroundings and the nostalgia adoring the walls jarring. Going to a Manchester City game, he says, is akin to visiting Disneyland – and that isn't what he wants from football.
