20 September ~ Wolverhampton Wanderers play Shrewsbury this weekend for the first time in over two decades. In 1979, a Third Division Shrewsbury managed to get themselves to the sixth round of the FA Cup, where they faced Wolves, then top-tier regulars. An unlikely 1-1 at Molineux forced the replay, but Wolves clinched a spot in the semi-finals with a 3-1 win at Gay Meadow.
