Giving blessing to "legalised touting"

icon ticketprices5 July ~ Tottenham Hotspur have recently signed a deal to make the website StubHub their "official ticket resale marketplace". They aren't the first club to use a secondary ticket agency. As Martin Cloake points out in his blog for the Football Supporters' Federation, the arrangements incentivise fans to exploit their fellow supporters in what is essentially "legalised touting". They are pushing the prices of already expensive tickets even higher and doing so with the club's blessing.
