Owner withdrew club from competition

icon appeal111 June ~ Barry Town Supporters' Committee (BTSC) are running a petition in the hope of reinstating their club back to Division One of the Welsh League after their owner withdrew them. Back in November, after a fairly successful start to the season on the pitch, owner Stuart Lovering announced that unless the club was bought by Christmas, then Town would be no more. No sale materialised and two games before the end of the season, Lovering was true to his word and resigned the club. Now under the name of Barry Town United AFC, the BTSC are campaigning for the Football Association of Wales to allow them to return to their original status in the Welsh pyramid. For more information, see the petition here.
