29 May ~ Former Welsh international striker Ron Davies has died at the age of 71. In his heyday at Southampton he was regarded as one of the best headers of the ball in the League, something he demonstrated when scoring all four Saints goals in a 4-1 win at Old Trafford in August 1969.
