THE HALF DECENT FOOTBALL MAGAZINE

24 April ~ Shinji Kagawa is starring in an unusual advert for SoftBank, one of the main mobile phone providers in Japan. Keen observers of Japanese commercials will know that the dog used to be in another advert when it was meant to be a father in a human family.

The translation reads:

Kagawa: "Why is my dad a dolphin? Damn! Shit."

Dolphin: "Come home!"

Dog: "This is what you call 'connection'. Get connected with your father."

Kagawa: "Connect with my dad?"

Dolphin: "I want to see your face."

Dog: "Nice assist! Do it again!"

Kagawa: "Yes sir!"

Narrator: "Heading for a number one connection!"

That's cleared that up, then.
