icon plymouth2Plymouth Argyle have announced the appointment of John Sheridan as manager, following the sacking of Carl Fletcher on New Year's Day. In recent times Argyle have narrowly avoided going out of business and last season fought an ultimately successful battle against relegation out of the Football League. However, with two points from the previous 15 and morale among fans low, this blog on The Two Unfortunates argues that it was the correct decision to sack Fletcher – and wonders if Sheridan can follow in Paul Sturrock's footsteps and get Argyle moving upwards again.
