All-woman choir mistaken for Chesterfield fans
Escorted to Vale Park by police
When policemen pulled over a couple of coaches on the A34 near Trentham Gardens and began escorting them to Vale Park, they were unaware that the passengers were not Chesterfield fans but from an all-woman choir who had been on the way to their Christmas concert. It wasn't until the coaches arrived at the ground and the police boarded that they realised their mistake. "The women all thought it was a hoot," Liz Talbot, the choir's founder, said. "When the police officer walked onto the coach the ladies started singing Stoke City's anthem Delilah as a bit of a joke." You can read the full story on This Is Staffordshire.
