Archive includes details of club's first game

SwansProg7 September ~ Swansea City are enjoying their start to life under Michael Laudrup but today represents a good opportunity for Swans fans to look back on events before their time in the Premier League. It is exactly 100 years since they played their first professional match, a 1-1 draw with Cardiff City at Vetch Field. The Swans 100 website has been set up with Swansea University and documents the birth of the side, the origins of the enduring rivalry with their neighbours – including images of the original programme from that first game – and records the highs and lows of the club's history so far.
