THE HALF DECENT FOOTBALL MAGAZINE

Valencia600The Nou Mestalla was planned to be a sparkling new home of Valencia CF. Construction was thought to be finished in 2009 but, after the downfall in the Spanish economy, Valencia couldn't sell the old Mestalla and didn't have the money to finish the new one, which is now an abandoned half-built structure closer to ruins than it is to a modern venue. Initially designed to host 75,000 people, its capacity will be finally downsized to 61,500 once the construction is restarted in an undetermined future.
