Predictions on TV money seem awry
12 July ~ With the future of Rangers uncertain, it is believed Sky are planning to renegotiate their existing TV deal. The money they pay for TV rights could fall as much as 75% if Rangers fail to return to the top flight after just one season. The A Saint in Asia blog have analysed the figures and compared the SPL contract with TV deals in other European countries. Their findings show that the danger to Scottish clubs is not as extreme as suggested by the league and association.
