Ukraine, France, England and Sweden

England's managerial fiasco in the build-up to the tournament bemused their group opponents. Sweden and Ukraine dislike England's "puffed up sense of their own importance". The ever-pessimistic French now believe that, following their 2-1 friendly win over Germany, the quarter-finals are a must. Karim Benzema's form at Real Madrid as assuaged some of their fears about a lack of goals. Sweden will be fielding a more attacking team than in previous competitions, though their hopes still rest on Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Ukraine fancy their chances of progressing from the group, using home advantage and and the free-kicks of Oleksandr Aliyev.
