Germany, Holland, Portugal and Denmark

The manner in which Germany qualified, winning all ten games, has led many to suggest that they have the potential to knock Spain off the podium and bring back a first European Championship title since 1996. They face the "group of death" and World Cup 2010 finalists Holland, who have lost some of the unashamed bravado that came with the like of Frank de Boer but now play more like a team. Portugal will hope Cristiano Ronaldo leaves his car collection at home and helps them past the group stage, after which "anything is possible". Denmark will rely on coach Morten Olsen to continue getting the best out of his squad.
