Sixty clubs have played in the new Wembley, but Liverpool are not one of them. Should they win or draw with Manchester City tonight at Anfield they will make their debut at the ground in the League Cup final next month. Back in the 1979-80, when the video below was shot, Liverpool were knocked out of the cup in the semi-finals by the eventual winners, Nottingham Forest, who also went on to win the European Cup in May. Liverpool made amends for their defeat, winning the first four League Cups of the 1980s.
