8 December ~ The book reviews from WSC 298 are online now. Andy Morrison's autobiography The Good, The Mad and The Ugly tells the complicated life story of a man who was as comfortable scoring in front of the Plymouth hooligans on the pitch as he was fighting with them off it. John Robertson's autobiography Super Tramp features the tale of his winning goal for Nottingham Forest in the 1980 European Cup final. In The Management, the long line of great Scottish football bosses is analysed. Shankly, Stein, Busby and Ferguson take centre-stage, but other lesser celebrated managers such as Eddie Turnbull, Billy McNeill and Jim McLean are also covered in this affectionate book. Finally, Fred Keenor's biography tells the story of Cardiff City's greatest achievement, when he led the club to their only FA Cup in 1927.
