17 November ~ The book reviews from WSC 297 are online now. In Theo Walcott's autobiography, Theo, the Arsenal player shows a hard core of ambition. He is only 21 though, so it reads a bit like a child's diary written while on a day-trip to the adult world. Team of All the Macs tells the story of how Liverpool Football Club was formed – from the rib of Everton, no less. In A Life Too Short, Ronald Reng tells the tragic story of Robert Enke, the German goalkeeper who committed suicide in November 2009. Reng's extraordinarily intimate biography is a fine tribute to the player. Finally, Gary Neville's autobiography, Red, offers readers an opinionated take on life at Manchester United in the Premier League era. It is also a must-read for Weetabix fans.
