John Turnbull
Since 2003 John Turnbull has edited The Global Game, a website of football culture with accent on the game's reach into under-publicised enclaves – among diaspora Ukrainians, aboriginal Canadians and women players of Iran, Morocco and Brazil. He is co-editor of the first literary anthology of football writing to be published with a North American audience in mind: The Global Game: Writers on Soccer (University of Nebraska Press, 2008). He plays Saturday morning park football in the Metropolitan Atlanta Casual Soccer League, founded in 2002 as a space of resistance against softball and Frisbee.
