14 July ~ The book reviews from WSC 293 are online now. Roger Titford looks into another book on the Brian Clough v Don Revie rivalry, which includes a match-fixing goalkeeper called Esmond Million. Or there's the boardroom machinations of Barcelona in A Catalan Dream. Alex Stepney gets in conversation with a barber on the eve of the 1977 FA Cup final in his autobiography Tooting Common To The Stretford End. Finally, 1980s centre-forward Kevin Drinkell recounts John Fashanu pointing at an area of the pitch and declaring: "The Fash is creating a war zone. Whoever dares to come in better be ready for war."
