4 May ~ The book reviews from WSC 290 are online now. There's The Doc's Devils, with tales of Tommy Docherty's time at Man Utd, including an episode from 1975 where the Old Trafford crowd was asked to look around for suspicious packages. Or The Frank McDougall story – one of few people to punch Alex Ferguson in the face and get away with it. The Man With Maradona's Shirt is Steve Hodge, "the prototype for a seemingly unending line of nice, sensible-haircutted players turned up by Brian Clough". Lastly, there's And Still Ricky Villa, an autobiography of "a fulfilling, many-faceted life, of genuine interest to a far wider audience than Spurs fans".
