THE HALF DECENT FOOTBALL MAGAZINE

19 April ~ A group of Manchester City fans has called for the re-release of a popular 1972 tune as the club’s FA Cup final anthem, and aim to have it in the charts by the May 14. The Boys in Blue, which was written by Lol Creme, Kevin Godley and Graham Gouldman of 10cc and sung by the squad of the time, was played after games at Maine Road. Now a Facebook group has been set up to encourage its reissue. It should not be confused with the Cannon and Ball song of the same name.
