13 October ~ On Monday night Iceland's Under-21 team reached the European Championship finals for the first time in their history by beating Scotland. Iceland took the lead at Easter Road before Aberdeen's Chris Maguire equalised straight from the kick-off. Yet, despite this spectacular effort, the visitors went on to score again with ten minutes remaining.

Shame it was in vain. The Icelandic winner was spectacular too.
