Spectators watching Pollok (black-and-white) taking on local rivals Neilston Juniors in a Sectional League Cup (Central) Section five tie at Newlandsfield on Glasgow's south side. The home side won the game by 2-1 in front of 302 fans. Junior football was divided into East, West and North sections and played throughout Scotland. It had its own governing body, the SJFA and regional pyramid structure and national cup competition.
