Tifosy launch push to increase awareness of Non-League Day and raise money for charity

9 August ~ Last weekend Tifosy launched a fanfunding campaign to increase awareness of Non-League Day and to raise money for their charitable partner Prostate Cancer UK. Non-League Day takes place on September 3 and, since starting in 2010, has become one of the highlights of the non-League season.

Scheduled to coincide with an international break, it gives semi-professional and amateur clubs the chance to highlight the importance of affordable, volunteer led, community football with no Premier League or Championship matches to get in the way. Free tickets, free beer and even free mushrooms have been offered to encourage new fans to check out a non-League match and to show that football can still be fun and doesn’t need to cost a small fortune to attend.

Fans will also have a chance to help a great cause in the shape of Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. In 2016 one man an hour will die from prostate cancer in the UK. That’s 10,900 men this year. Based on current trends, if we ignore prostate cancer and do nothing, this number will rise to over 14,500 men a year by 2026. People are urged to search Men United and join the fight.

You can support the campaign here, where you can find great rewards including Non-League Day and Prostate Cancer UK merchandise, special prizes donated by our ambassadors and top secret special rewards to be revealed during the campaign.
