THE HALF DECENT FOOTBALL MAGAZINE

Owen Amos grew up near Darlington, County Durham, listening to Arsenal's early-Nineties cup runs on Radio Five. While not memorising Steve Bould's early career history (Stoke, loan spell at Torquay) or Arsenal's scorers at Standard Liege (Smith, Selley, Adams, Campbell twice, Merson, McGoldrick), he followed Shildon in the Northern League. After moving to Cardiff, he remained cold to rugby but decidedly warm to the Welsh Premier League (ten grounds and counting). Now back in the North-East, he spends his time reading Welsh-Premier.com, and waiting for World Cup qualifying fixtures to be announced so he can see more obscure internationals.
