okay, let's try it - we all go to the bathroom on 86.00 mins - ready?

Who didn't stick to the plan then ...?

If everyone in London went to the bathroom at the same time, would it fill the Thames barrier up to the rim from the inside?

I can see how these chumps lost home and away to scotland

although in their defence, they did at least then look like scoring.

Nothing for the Dutch or the piss-chuckers to worry about in this group

I'm beginning to wish Scotland had taken their place. Romania might have tried to attack Scotland, too.

Unless I missed something while I dozed off (in a swivel chair, just to reflect how soporific this game is), did either keeper have to make anything like a challenging save?

That is a lot of toilets. quite the logistical nightmare. 9 million toilets by 50 litres. Ooh that is a lot of water.

First dire game of the tournament.

That is being very kind to the first game.

that is six teams out of ten that failed to score.

Can I just say I love a sub coming on in the final seconds, running to take part in a set piece, and losing his boot within seconds.

What's Patrice Evra done to Raymond Domenech to be behind Abidal at left-back? Two holding midfielders, two full-backs unable to attack, and Malouda and Anelka playing horribly.

I mean fair play to Romania, but Christ that was bad.

Roll on Italy/Holland.

Can we all chip in and purchase Domenech a decent pair of clippers, to take care of that thicket of hair coming out of his ears. Good lord, talk about something you didn't need to see in HD.

No, no, no.

We must not change a thing about Agent Domenech.

His work is not yet done.

"I mean fair play to Romania.."

For being mind-numbingly negative? you're being very generous TMA.

Not that I disagree with your point - that was excrutiating viewing, what with Romania's attitude and France's total ineptitude.

God, Romania were contemptibly craven. France clearly had the excuse that they were utterly shit. Indeed, the worst I've seen them since 1992. But as for Romania, we'll just have to assume the same as they made precisely no attempt to prove otherwise. Desperately poor game between two desperately poor sides.

France had no guile or craft. No one in midfield who could create time or space (not in a Steven Hawkings sense) and os they never looked likely to break Romania down. And looking through their squad, do they even have a player like that?

What did Trezeguet do to get ignored for Gomis? Jeez, he looked bad.

Was Eric on the radio?

He was. He seems to have not watched any of the games and thinks France need a Frank Lampard.

It was like listening to Lawro.
