Yeah, Tommy recently mentioned interviewing someone in Moscow when he was there for the CL final, which surprised me because I automatically assumed they were here.

I didn't watch the pregame stuff. I remember seeing them in Paris in 2006 (I think I remember that, at least) and in Athens in 2007.

I can't remember if Musburger was at the WC Final in 2006. I'm still not sure why he appeared out of nowhere to handle calling the game. Wonder if something similar will happen on Sunday.

The past couple seasons the CL final has been announced on site. For the past 3 World Cups, there's been about 5 or 6 announcing teams, 3 or 4 of which are on site, with a couple calling the match from Bristol.

I was at a bar watching the College World Series final (I got confused when the red and black team wearing "Bulldogs" jerseys was not Georgia,) and at the bottom they constantly advertised "Germany-Turkey Replay on ESPN Classic - WITHOUT TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES"

That's cool. It's fun to bash the WWL, but it's good when they do something right, and Smyth aside, most of the coverage has been really good. Beats having to pay Setanta.
