2 - Mex National team (1 black away, 1 cheesy white knock off)
1 - US Womens National team - Wambach
1 - Leeds (Toffs '30s - me)
1 - Italia national team
1 - Inter – Ronaldo
1 - Greece national team (#7 - Zagonakis)
1 - Arsenal
3 - local club jerseys

Spotted two random jerseys, both which I don't think I've ever seen in the wild before:

student in Westwood wearing a Bordeaux jersey (2009 away). Then at my daughter's school last night, I saw a kid wearing an Atletico Madrid shirt.

You'd never seen an Atlético shirt in the wild before? Wow. What a country.

This thread is certainly giving me some pointers on how I can make myself recognisable if I ever go to the States and arrange to meet up with any OTFers.

Spanish club shirts aside from Real Madrid and Barcelona are rare here, Sam.

On campus at UCLA today saw a girl wearing an Arsenal shirt (and she was cute, so even a bigger shame) and then later on saw a little kid in a Barca training shirt. Oh, and in a children's book store I saw a little girl wearing a France Zidane jersey.

edit: spotted a guy wearing a Penarol t-shirt in Target.

On a busy Saturday at the local pumpkin picking patch only two sighted: a black Real Madrid away (no number), and a home DC United (worn under a local youth team windbreaker)

Oh I realise that Inca. It still surprises me though, even though I know it shouldn't. I have a Rampla Juniors shirt that was given to me by a friend a few months ago. I'd offer to wear that if we ever meet up in LA, except that it's four sizes too big for me so I've never actually worn it.

Just back from a UNM Lobo soccer game and amongst the 4 Barcelonas, 2 Man U, red Real m, and mostly ayso/club jerseys, a guy comes up the bleachers wearing a Śląsk Wrocław jersey. Ok, not up there with Wycombe Wanderers, but still nicely obscure.

Btw, lady lobos beat Wyoming 2-1, men beat cal-state Bakersfield 2-0. Beautiful day, 2 games, all for $5!

Today: little boy wearing a black Mexico shirt (Chicharito edition), then some kids with a Man Utd and a Spain jersey among them.

Today on George Street a mystery dark blue one, round neck (I think with white trim) with "Bank of Ireland" in large white letters across chest and high on the back. Any ideas?

Yep, that's the one

My extremely occasional Sydney league is now:

Leinster Rugby 1
Liverpool 1

Irish club shirts (virtually all Munster or Leinster) are by some distance the most common rugby shirts I see in New York.

You also see GAA shirts from time to time. In both cases, the wearers are most likely tourists or rather recent immigrants.

I took my family to the Texas State Fair (in Dallas) this Saturday and collected quite a few sightings. Here's the tally:

F.C. Dallas 3 (including one teenager in full kit—shirt, short, and socks!)
Manchester United 2
AC Milan 2
UANL Tigres 1
Chivas 1
Chelsea 1

Mexico 1
U.S.A. 1

So here's my updated table:

Club Points

Manchester United 4
FC Dallas 3
AC Milan 2
Arsenal 1
Chelsea 1
Chivas 1
Nottingham Forest 1
Real Madrid 1
UANL Tigres 1

And in the international competition:

USA 2
Mexico 1

Keeping track of college (girdiron) football shirts would have been impossible. Also not football-related, but I have to mention that I also saw a guy wearing a camouflage-patterned T-shirt with "Fear God, Love Your Neighbor, Hunt Ducks" written on it.

(There was also a carnie/ride operator who looked like Diego Maradona if he had had a sex change. No points for Napoli or Argentina for that, though.)

What's the word on Big Tex?

Will he be rebuilt bigger and better than ever? Maybe 1836 inches tall?

The mayor of Dallas has already vowed to rebuild Big Tex bigger and better for next year, but I anticipate an outcry if they make him look very much different.

There was a makeshift shrine at the circle where he used to stand. People had left yellow roses, religious candles, children's drawings/notes, and (my favorite) a bouquet of corny dogs in a little overturned cowboy hat. It was all very funny/touching.

I took this picture of part of it:

A guy in front of me on the plane was wearing a strange multicolored Barca Top that made no sense and was reading the biography of Johnny Wilkinson in French.
