Brooklyn-based electronic trio called Forma doing a majestic repetitive kosmische thing live on a local radio station, here.

For anyone pining for My Life Story, Screaming Maldini's Life In Glorious Stereo ought to do the trick, here.

On the sidebar I saw a link to a Flaming Lips song featuring Ke$ha and Biz Markie.

It's on the same forthcoming album, The Flaming Lips with Heady Fwends. It's quite an illustrious group of collaborators.

A3 Helping the Retarded to Find God (feat. Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros)
B1 Supermoon Made Me Want to Pee (feat. Prefuse 73)
B2 Children of the Moon (feat. Tame Impala)
B3 That Ain't My Trip (feat. Jim James)
B4 You, Man? Human??? (feat. Nick Cave)
C1 I'm Working at NASA on Acid (feat. Lightning Bolt)
C2 Do It! (feat. Yoko Ono)
C3 Is David Bowie Dying? (feat. Neon Indian)
D1 The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (feat. Erykah Badu)

I love everything I have heard so far on the radio and the site from 'The War Room' EP by Public Service Broadcasting and have just ordered it.

Know nothing more about them though, any one got any ideas?

Am quite happy with Bobby Womack's new album.

Deep Time - Clouds

Heard this on NPR's All Songs Considered podcast a little while ago and love it. Wanders off in all directions but always comes back.

Beltrano - really enjoy that Public Service Broadcasting song. Like a mix between Division Bell Pink Floyd and earlier Porcupine Tree stuff.

Seems Badu is well cheesed off with Wayne Coyne though.

A few of recent favourites of mine, three housey ones and token indie-ish thing.

* LA Vampires by Octo Octa - Freedom 2K

* Tom Trago - What You Do (feat. Tyree Cooper) (Larry Heard's Fingers Dub Mix)

* Simian Mobile Disco - I Waited For You

* Best Coast - How They Want Me To Be (Since the first LP, I've felt this woman's got a decent musical inside her waiting to get out)

After trying to wade through her turgid moaning that sounds like it was written by a 13 year old girl, I'm with Wayne on this one, whatever he is meant to have done.

Doppelganger, the new single by Boston synthpop kings 'n' queens Freezepop, is here.

Cute enough song, but the only one in that video I didn't want to gently tap on the head with a hammer is the dog. What a bunch of smirking twats.

Nice one, Furtho!

Yeah, Freezepop are all about the plasticness. They've had some excellent tunes over the years - I shared one with a colleague ('Science Genius Girl') only yesterday, in fact. It's possible the smug smiles are put on, but I can't be sure.

Slightly disappointingly, when I first got into them - back in Myspace days - I tried to link to/friend them on there, and they wrote back going "Who are you? Do we know you? We don't friend just anyone, you know!..." or words to that effect. That's pretty much the only time I've received such a response from a band or artiste. They still friended me, though!

WoM, it's a gag and they're in character. There's a metal version of the song and video, here.

Yeah, I got that. It's the smirking behind the 'look...we're being ironic hahahaaa' I was responding to. Blech. As I say, cute song.

But many a good song was ruined by a bad video.

I'm not sure if that's factual, but I like the ring of it.

Poolside - "Slow Down"

A LA duo, I suppose this could be called chillwave. They describe themselves as "daytime disco." Don't let that stop you from listening.

Beautiful remix by Isan of someone called Origamibiro, here (I do accept that no-one apart from evilC is likely to be interested in this).

This will make me sound like a silly old bastard, but here goes.

On the subject of Poolside, I actually like the description "daytime disco" but where I part company with the text on the page that Inca links to is the idea that that kind of music is relaxing. I mean I gave it a try but the weight of the kick drum just makes it sound absurd to me. Just because a track is not paced at 130bpm doesn't make it a soundtrack for winding down: how can you relax when the kick ensures that you're bouncing off the walls?

I'm guilty of saying anything vaguely shoegazy sounds like Chapterhouse, but f*ck me, the new song from Real Estate really sounds like Chapterhouse:

Which is no bad thing.
