Thirty fookin' quid? You could buy sixty second hand vinyl copies of Kings of the Wild Frontier for that.

I dunno, is it really necessary to advertise your mates' (massively overpriced) gigs on here with a new thread every time they deign to get on stage to play their 30-year-old hits? Isn't that what Facebook's for?

1. I used the same thread as before and changed the title. Recycling
2. A few people here indicated previously they would be grateful for a heads-up
3. I couldn't give a flying fuck if anyone here goes or not
4. Yes, it's overpriced,at 50 quid this time for the EB. I've told him as much, the prices might go down as they did last time

I got moaned at before for suggesting anyone might be negative about Adam. "OH NO, WE ALL LOVE ADAM!" they cried. FFS.

(I feel slightly bad here, because MsD did once say she was going to stop posting about Ants gigs, and I was certainly one of the ones urging her not to stop. I mean, they're not without interest, surely?)

Yeah, I think that imp is off-beam here.
Whilst he might be a friend of MsD's, it's not like he is unheard of, and there are enough people on these boards potentially interested in the music for the post to be worthwhile. If no-one cares about the gigs then the thread will die fast and naturally, but it's hardly gratutitous.

Yeh.

I saw The Cesarians (who supported Adam in April) supporting The Young Gods last night, both bands absolutely brilliant. Only 15 quid, too. Thought I'd plug them even though I don't know them.

Don't know who the support is for these gigs, he's promising surprise guests.

Ha

That's not the official t-shirt, they're quite nice, actually. This is from a disgruntled fan.

Flawless band. Totally above suspicion.

I take Imp's point about new threads. For example, I've consolidated all of Ultonia's travails in Euro 12 into a single talking-to-self effort.

I take it you mean the Young Gods, as they've been around a while, and they will be back in April (in London) if you're interested, so maybe check out their website.

As for Adam, if anyone is interested, he did an interview with Iain Lee on Absolute Radio last night, and it went very well.

He sounds fine, funny and sweet as a nut, with a minimum of rambling or ranting.

Springsteen should a song about it. Maybe with a BIG CHORUS that people misinterpret?

Just in case anyone was planning going to the Forum gig tomorrow, it's been changed to the Garage.

He's playing the 100 club on the 26th or 27th .. and it's 50 quid again.

People enjoyed the Garage gig.

The 100 club has just been "saved" by being bought by a large consortium (O2 i believe).

Ho hum. I've been giggling at a new song today.

It must be strange paying 50 bones to get into the garage. I would expect somewhere that had at least seen a good clean in the past decade for that money.

It has, they've done it up since you fled the country. It's still a warm-lager-in-a-plastic-cup kind of place though. £50, honestly.

I've just read an interview with Adam from around ten years ago. He mirrors many of the views of this forum, slagging off Bono, ranting about Live Aid, and offering Geldof out. Not long before he got sectioned. Hmm.

Anyway, yeh the 50 quid thing. He sold about 300 for the last one .. And is playing in Camden TONIGHT, not sure where, but it won't be 50 quid.
