hold on, why are a bunch of twelve year olds driving around in a convertible, without a seatbelt between them.

That song is grim as all hell.

Hold on, who's the middleaged rapper in the middle of the video?

Somehow I managed a minute on both of those, just to show how open-minded I am. There's two minutes of my life gone forever.

Remote - I recommend you skip to the end. She sings into a turkey leg.

Foolishly I followed your advice. won't thank you; I don't feel my life has been enriched.

Can't be hateful, gotta be grateful. I bet Taylor likes it.

Is that a younger Kate Middleton?

Of course it is. It was a vanity record: her parents paid a label to write a song for young Rebecca, let her record it and to make a video. Somehow, perhaps because it's so bad, it became a viral hit.

I thought the reaction to it was horrible. She's a young girl, not a highly-paid superstar.

I assumed that she had written it herself. I've listened to a lot of music over the years, and I've never heard a piece of music with such a confusing, complicated structure. there are pieces of free form jazz that make more sense than that song. listening to it I had actually no idea what was going to come next.

Crikey, didn't know that background. Her parents obviously aren't short of a few bob, but here's another illustration of the fact that you can't buy sound judgement or common sense. Did the songwriters at the record company deliberately write something dire as a mean trick?

We had a thread on Rebecca Black. Gman thought the reaction was worse than the crime, and I thought that mainly applied to the people who wanted to see her dead, but that she basically had it coming because you have to go kinda far out of your way to do this sort of thing.

AFAIK it was "her" song, all the producers did was add a great many layers of polish to the turd.

Surely turds are quite shiny to begin with.

Depends on your diet.

Meanwhile, the hospital has come out swinging, blaming the entire thing on the two DJs.

Good grief, you make it sound like a track from Smile or the White Album!

Free jazz, which can involve free-form improvisation.

Fold your hands, child, you walk like a peasant.

And now it's well and truly derailed, according to Sits Jnr #3, this is the last part of the unholy trinity.

The latest is that the nurse hanged herself. My admittedly limited knowledge of hanging suicides (Badfinger, Ian Curtis) leads me to feel that the person had been thinking about it for a while. A spontaneous suicide is more likely to be a different method. However, I can't give you any science on that; just my gut feeling.
