A post preview function/button would be nice, too.

Good spot. A necessity, in fact.

There are two of those now. The two blue/grey buttons second and third from the right are 'live preview' buttons that show you what your post will look like while you're creating it. Just click them before you start typing.

Oh them, yeah, I knew about them, I just... that is, I... never mind.

It seems quicker, which is great, but I can no longer see posters' favourite teams, books, biscuits or records, which is terrible (and in the case of the first of those not merely an aesthetic inconvenience - people often use 'we' if they're talking about their team).

You can still see those (to the extent they exist) by clicking on any user's name.

Is it just me, or is everyone finding that the whole board slows up when there are a lot of posters on one thread, like when there is a game on?

Not just you.

Yes, it really does slow dowm.

BTW is there a PM notification function, or is it like the old board where it appears as an email?

I believe that something appears by the messages link under your user name at the top of the page

I'm really really really really getting tired of having to log in almost every time I visit. Where the hell's the 'Remember Me' button?

That's really weird, WOM. Before the upgrade, I was having to log in every single time (even if I ticked the remember me box). Since the upgrade, I'm always logged in.

Sucks to be you.

I have exactly the same problem, it does not matter which browser I use either.

Are you sure you don't have something in Internet options (under tools) checked, like "delete browser history on exit"?

Why have practically all the icons bar gender, location and birthdate vanished?

To protect us from stalkers like you.

Ok, so I am getting every single post from the England EC thread e-mailed to me. This suggests I have subscribed to it, I haven't, when on the thread there is an option to SUBSCRIBE there and yet I am getting mails about posts from these and other threads around it?

How can I make it stop?

Open the thread, and look at the top of the page, below your user name. If you have subscribed inadvertently, there should be blue text reading Unsubscribe.

I'm sure someone has mentioned it; but the new Preview Panes are not that helpful.
On IE, which I ust use at work, - the Preview, for longer posts with quotes usually, writes over the previous posts , making it illegible.
At home, I thought "aha! Safari will be better" , it is not.
So I post and then edit straight after, it's quicker and easier to see. Prefer the old Preview method.
Of course in a typical mimic, of taking your car to the garage , and asking a mechanic to try and find a fault, and the car is perfect for him - this post is very cleanly showing up with Preview - bah humbug!

Hmmmm.

No matches today, less than massive traffic, and the board is crawling.

Yes, for me too it has been very slow at times today.
